Are the Olympics ready for ... pole dancing?

Interesting that some guys have been misjudged all this time. They weren't dirty old men hanging 'round the stripclub, but instead full of respect for this display of athletic prowess....;)

While pole dancing is clearly a form of athletic display, as something typically encountered at a "gentlemens' club", it will be tough to get any respect from the Olympic committee.

I'll agree that it will tend to have a hard time getting respect due to it's origins. However, there is at least as much athletic ability associated with pole dancing as there is with the balance beam.

naw they appreciated it for the athleticism required.... they thought it was really cool... not awkward at all. maybe I just have liberal parents lol because we were also watching belly dancing videos and my mom commented on how "that girl was just moving her boobies around independently from the rest of her body"... my dad was impressed as well.

V impressive considering a lot of us can't move our legs and not move our arms and vice versa lol
