Guilty Pleasures and Cheap Thrills !!!

MacBook Idolatry!

Guilty pleasure! Why guilty? Because I am not wont to worship machines. But tonight I invested in my very first Mac--a MacBook Pro laptop/notebook. I thank all in DF who raved about their own Macs!

It has a one-piece aluminum body, which is tough and helps dissipate heat. Ordinarily, I would not have gone this way; but I am about to start my class for developing software (such as games) for iPhones. So I needed the Mac as a development environment.

Repeat after me: Better Mousetrap.

Welcome to the light side!

Cheap thrills:

Cracking my neck (or spine, but mostly my neck) and feeling the vibrations throughout my body.

Having a friend crack my back via the bear hug method and feeling things pop that I could never get and feeling the pain subside into relief as the joints separate.

Ahhhh...

Peaches:

That all is truly something I can use right now! I've been sitting in a lab for most of the weekend and everything just feels stiff and tight. I bet what you described can also loosen things up!

Girl Scout Cookies

We've been talking about many things, including Girl Scout Cookies:

I also rave about my MAC book!!! I also bought it because of recommendations of a few DFersJ However I don’t have any plan to do anything sophisticated like programming for iphones, just for pure personal usage; really love this MAC book!

Standarddancer: Someone at work described Mac versus PC as going from Point A to Point B in a Mercedes versus a Chevy. You pay more, but *wow* do things work so well with a Mac.

On the other hand, the 24-carat gold-plated MacBook Pro that I happened to see on-line (at bornrich.org, *lol*) is a bit much! :p Notice the diamond-studded Apple logo. Some people have way too much money!

Going to check out an apartment, there is always that glimmer of hope that "this might be the one! it might be awesome!" even if you get there and 9 times out of 10 its a big disappointment.
